Monitoring, Documenting, and Advocating for a Safer Future for Children

In conflict-affected areas, children are often the first to suffer and the last to be heard.
At Child Guardians, we are committed to changing that. Our teams are on the ground, actively monitoring, documenting, and advocating against grave violations of children’s rights. Our reports are swift, objective, and ethical—ensuring that no child’s suffering goes unnoticed or unaddressed.

Advancing Justice & Accountability

We support local and international justice efforts by providing evidence that holds individuals and institutions accountable for violations against children.

Driving Evidence-Based Advocacy

Our documentation powers advocacy to influence policy, expose abuses, and prevent future violations.

Strengthening Child Protection Responses

We use field data to guide our protection work—ensuring services are timely, targeted, and responsive to children’s needs.

The records and evidence we collect serve three critical purposes:

United Nations Engagement

We actively participate in the Universal Periodic Review (UPR) process, where we advocate for child-specific human rights issues in Syria, especially:

  • Ending recruitment and use of children by armed actors
  • Preventing and responding to violence, abuse, and exploitation
Moving forward, our goal is to enhance coordination with the Special Representatives of the United Nations Secretary-General on these critical issues through individual dialogue meetings.
