Back to School

Back to school” has a different meaning in times of crisis and war. For Syrian children, it means a return to normal life, a safe environment, and simply being able to dream about the future

About this initiative

Helping Syrian children return to learning and hope for a brighter future

In Syria, over 2.45 million children are out of school. The situation is especially dire in Northwest Syria, where 69% of children in Idlib and 38% in Aleppo are deprived of their right to education.

At Child Guardians, we believe every child deserves access to education in a safe and nurturing environment. That’s why we are committed to restoring the educational system and ensuring children return to school, where trained teachers and social workers offer the psychological and emotional support needed to heal from the trauma of war.

Our “Back to School” initiative mobilizes communities, donors, partner organizations, and education authorities to create viable pathways for out-of-school children to return to learning.
