Empowering people to Rebuild, Protect, and Heal Their Communities

In towns overwhelmed by destruction and neglect, rebuilding childhood starts with the people themselves.

Through Siwar, Child Guardians supports community-led projects that repair, protect, and heal. from restoring damaged schools and fixing drainage systems, to creating safe public spaces where children can play, learn, and grow.

We aim to raise $100,000 to fund 20 community-led projects — each one proposed, selected, and implemented by the communities themselves. We believe the people who live through crisis are the ones best equipped to shape recovery.

What is SIWAR?

Siwar is Child Guardians’ community recovery fund — a program that empowers local people to lead the protection and recovery of their towns.

Through Siwar, we help communities identify their own priorities, propose practical solutions, and implement small-scale, high-impact projects that directly benefit children.

From rehabilitating schools to restoring sanitation and safe public spaces, Siwar turns local knowledge into sustainable change — one project at a time.

Our Approach

Survivor and Community-Led Response (SCLR)
We believe that lasting recovery starts from within. Communities receive specialized training from our team, then propose their own project ideas, ones that respond to real, local needs. Each proposal is reviewed by a community committee, formed by local members themselves, who decide which projects to support and oversee their implementation.

This approach doesn’t just rebuild structures — it restores agency, dignity, and child protection at the community level.
