Supporting International Accountability Mechanisms

Child Guardians coordinated and participated in meetings with the Independent International Commission of Inquiry on Syria (COI) and the International, Impartial and Independent Mechanism (IIIM).

We provided data to support accountability efforts related to crimes against children in Syria. In addition, we facilitated connections between victims and these international mechanisms, and supported the IIIM’s outreach to children’s groups inside Syria to ensure their voices and perspectives are included in the mechanism’s work.
