In coordination with the Madaniya Network, Child Guardians held a meeting with the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the UK government, attended by the UK’s Special Envoy to Syria and representatives from Syrian civil society. The aim was to facilitate discussions on crucial Syrian issues such as justice, accountability, and the political future.

Our representative, Maimouna Al-Ammar, focused her intervention on education, emphasizing the importance of localization in planning, implementing, and evaluating responses. She also stressed the need to support the transition from emergency response to early recovery and achieve sustainability in education by developing a safe exit strategy to protect education.
