Child Guardians co-organised a side event with LDSPS, focusing on the significance and challenges facing the education sector in northwest Syria.

The panellists emphasised various approaches to primary education that centre on the inclusion of relevant civil society actors (NGOs, CSOs, teachers’ unions), education experts, and local community stakeholders (parent councils and leagues for parents with disabilities), in addition to the technical education directorates. This inclusive model provides a framework through which international donors can effectively address the three core areas outlined above.
