EEAS Meeting: Protecting Cross-Border Aid for Syria’s Children

At a high-level EEAS meeting in Gaziantep, Layla Hasso and Maimouna Al-Ammar warned that ending cross-border aid would endanger children and collapse education in NWS, urging the EU to take urgent action to prevent further harm.

The high-level meeting with the European External Action Service was held in Gaziantep with participation of several NGOs and INGOs. Participants discussed UN Security Council Resolution on cross-border assistance in Northwestern Syria.
 
Layla Hasso and Maimouna Al-Ammar represented Child Guardians, arguing that ending the cross-border resolution would lead to increased protection risks for children and collapse of the educational system. They called for the EEAS to put maximum effort to prevent this collapse from happening in Northwestern Syria.
